The short version

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The weight, age, breed, and dates you type are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. They exist in the page while you use it and disappear when you close the tab.

What is stored on your device

We use your browser's local storage for display preferences: your chosen theme (light, dark, or high contrast), text size, reading font, and motion setting. These never leave your device and are not readable by us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Cookies

The only cookies on this site are the ones Google Analytics sets to count you as the same visitor across pages and on a return visit. We set none of our own, and there are no advertising cookies. What those cookies do is described under Analytics below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages people arrive on and which ones they leave from. We use it to decide what to write next, and for nothing else.

Being straight about what that means: it is not cookieless. It stores a randomly generated id in your browser so that several pages in one visit, and a return visit later, can be counted as one person rather than several. It also records your approximate location from your network address, your device and browser, and the site that sent you here. The provider processes that data on its own terms and at its own scale, which is larger than ours; you can read them in its privacy documentation.

What it never sees is anything you type into a calculator. Your puppy’s weight, age, breed and dates are computed in your browser and are not sent to us, to the analytics provider, or to anyone else, as described at the top of this page. We do not sell anything to anybody.

If you would rather not be counted, your browser’s “do not track” and cookie-blocking settings both work here, as do the usual content blockers. Nothing on this site stops working if you use them.

Server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to identify individuals. Cloudflare processes them under its own privacy terms.

Your rights

We hold no account, no email address and nothing you typed into a calculator, so for most requests there is genuinely nothing of yours here to hand over. The exception is the analytics described above: it holds a randomly generated id and the coarse location and device information attached to it. Clearing your cookies detaches you from that id, blocking the script prevents it entirely, and if you want us to ask the provider to delete data associated with a visit, contact us and we will.

Children

This site is intended for adults caring for a puppy. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and describe what changed. See our editorial standards for how we handle updates across the site.
